Application instructions for TRACK MARKER

The spray paint can be applied manually or with a suitable accessory such as a marking rod or marking gun. Before use, shake the can vigorously with the spray head pointing downwards. After use, the spray head must be vented in a vertical position to prevent the nozzle from sticking. The spray bottle is under pressure and may burst if heated. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. The paint mixture is an extremely flammable aerosol that must be handled with care, as indicated by the printed pictogram. No drops or paint mist are produced during use. TRACK MARKER is available in the colors red, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink.

Other spray paints from Technima for construction site marking

Under the brand name Soppec Construction, Technima offers a whole range of different spray paints for various requirements in the construction sector.

  • FLUO TP Neon spray paint

FLUO TP is the most fluorescent and highly visible marking paint in the Technima range. It is often used in surveying and road construction and the markings have a durability of approx. twelve months.

  • IDEAL SPRAY 360° fluorescent marking paint

This marking spray is suitable for markings in all directions, including upwards. It is used on vertical and horizontal surfaces, for example for earthworks or for marking in sewers, tunnels or mines. This marking spray also lasts for approx. twelve months, depending on the condition of the surface.

  • PROMARKER long-term marking paint

This spray paint has very good coverage and is very weather and UV resistant. The paint also adheres to damp substrates and remains visible for nine to twelve months. Areas of application include road construction and road signage, earthworks, pipeline construction, building construction and electrical installations.

  • TEMPO TP short-term marking paint

TEMPO TP is the marker of choice for floor markings that only need to remain visible for around eight weeks. This marker is mainly used for short-term, temporary markings in inner-city areas, at listed sites or other protected sites.

  • S MARK luminous marking paint

This marking paint is available for the medium range of durability requirements and remains visible for approx. six months. The spray paint also adheres to damp surfaces and is used in various construction areas, especially for marking underground supply lines during construction work.

  • S Mark non-fluorescent construction site marker

This spray paint is non-fluorescent for markings that do not need to be visible from a long distance. The marker is also suitable for covering other markings that are no longer required. The durability of the markings is around six months.

  • FLUO TP Hydro neon spray paint

This spray paint offers the same properties as FLUO TP, but with 20 percent fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are replaced by water. The spray paint is therefore more environmentally friendly and odor development during use is greatly reduced.

Areas of application for Technima markers and spray paints

Technima markers and spray paints are used in numerous industries:

  • the construction industry for staking out, positioning or warning markings on construction sites and in buildings
  • surveying and geodesy, markers are used to set temporary markings for measuring points, mark areas for terrain analysis or mark boundary points for retrieval
  • road construction, lanes are temporarily marked as well as the work to be carried out and known underground lines.
  • the event sector, spray paint is used for temporary markings, for example at trade fairs, festivals and sporting events.
  • the sports sector, markers are used to mark playing fields on playing surfaces. This works on grass, artificial turf or even synthetic sports surfaces.
  • warehousing and logistics, markers are used for route markings, hazard symbols or color codes for assigning stored or transported goods
  • ndustrial production, spray paints play an important role in marking components for further processing and in indicating test characteristics or defects

All spray paints and markers offered by Technima for construction sites also adhere to wood. Under the brand name SOPPEC FORREST, Technima offers special wood marking paints for the forestry sector with different durability periods for markings on wood or trees. Depending on the application, the appropriate wood marking paint can be used as a spray paint. The markers for the forestry sector are also particularly suitable for damp surfaces.

Markers and spray paints are available in different compositions, which can be assigned to different time periods during which the markings remain visible. The markings with TRACK MARKER from the Technima range, for example, are intended for a period of three months, during which the markings remain securely in place. With the short-term marking paint TEMPO TP, the markings disappear after approx. eight weeks when exposed to UV radiation and the weather. Long-term marking paints such as PROMARKER or IDEAL SPRAY 360°, on the other hand, remain visible for around 12 months.

According to a rule of thumb, opened cans of spray paint last for about half the shelf life of the sealed can. However, this is only a rule of thumb and there may be upward and downward deviations. A prerequisite for the further use of opened spray paints and markers is that the nozzles have been properly sprayed empty in accordance with the product description and the cans are stored properly.

Tagging, i.e. marking a graffiti with a tag, the sign of a graffiti artist, is about placing the artist's chosen format on a graffiti artwork in a short space of time. Pens and stickers are also used for this, but most graffiti artists use spray paint for this as well as for the artwork itself. Since graffiti artists are interested in their artwork and tags remaining visible for long periods of time, they use markers for tagging, which have good durability.

The yield of spray paints depends on the composition of the paint mixture used. In the marker product descriptions, the yield is indicated by the length of a two-centimeter thick line or by the number of marks that can be made with it. With a 500 milliliter can of spray paint, such a line can be sprayed in lengths of between 50 and 100 meters, depending on the product selected. The information on sprayed characters is much less precise, as this depends heavily on the complexity of the sprayed characters. The figures given here are between 80 and 120 characters per spray can.
