Please note that this privacy policy may be modified or completed at any moment by GROUPE TECHNIMA, notably in order to comply with any changes to legislation, regulations, jurisprudence or technology. Should this be the case, the date of any such change will be clearly indicated at the top of this privacy policy. The User is bound by these changes as soon as they are published online. It is therefore recommended that the User regularly consults both this privacy policy and the cookies policy, in order to be aware of any such changes.

PERSONAL DATA

In general, you may visit the TECHNIMA GROUP Websites without providing any personal information concerning yourself. Under no circumstances do you have any obligation whatsoever to provide such information to TECHNIMA GROUP.

Nevertheless, in the event of a refusal, it is possible that you may not be able to benefit from certain information or services that you may have requested. In this respect, TECHNIMA GROUP may be led, in certain cases, to request you to enter your surname, first name, email address, telephone number, company and position and intra-community VAT number (hereafter referred to as your “Personal Data”). By providing such information, you expressly accept that it will be processed by TECHNIMA GROUP for the purposes given in point 2 below, together with those purposes mentioned at the end of each form that you are asked to complete.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation adopted by the European Parliament on 14 April 2016 and the French Loi Informatique et Libertés (French law on information technology and freedoms) of 6 January 1978 and subsequently modified, TECHNIMA GROUP informs you as follows:

2. Purpose of data processing

TECHNIMA GROUP is susceptible to process your Personal Data for the purpose of:

(a) providing you with the information or services that you have requested (notably: to send the Newsletter, promotional offers, white book or in order to assess your level of compliance via a quiz); and/or

(b) collecting information that will enable us to improve our Website, our products and our services (notably through the use of cookies); and/or

(c) contacting you concerning various events relating to TECHNIMA GROUP and notably up-dates to the product range and customer support; and/or

(d) following-up a request for a quotation or an online order.

 

3. Recipients

Only TECHNIMA GROUP will receive your Personal Data. Whether collected individually or combined with other information, it is never disclosed to any third party, including sub-contractors on whom TECHNIMA GROUP may call (more detailed information concerning sub-contractors is set out in point 7 below). 4. Duration of data conservation

Your Personal Data is only retained by TECHNIMA GROUP for the time necessary as required by the purpose of the collection indicated in point 2 above and this may not, under any circumstances, exceed 36 months.

Rights of access to your data and its communication

You have the right to access the Personal Data that concerns you.

However, given the obligation of TECHNIMA GROUP to ensure the security and confidentiality of data when processing any information of a personal nature, you are informed that your request will be handled subject to your providing proof of your identity, notably by producing a scan of valid proof of identity (if so requested by our dedicated online form) or a signed photocopy of a valid identity card or passport (in the event of a written request sent by post).

TECHNIMA GROUP informs you that it has the right, if necessary, to refuse any obviously abusive request (due to the number of requests made or their repetitive or systematic nature).

Right to rectify your Personal Data

Under this right, the law authorises you to request the rectification, up-dating, locking or deletion of any data that concerns you that may prove to be inexact, incorrect, incomplete or obsolete.

You may also indicate any general and special instructions relating to the fate of your personal data after your death. The heirs of a deceased person may, if appropriate, demand that the death of that person be taken into consideration and/or update the personal data as necessary.

Right of opposition

This right may only be exercised in one of the following two situations:

  1.    when the exercise of this right is based on legitimate motives; or
  2.    when the exercise of this right has the purpose of blocking the use of data collected for commercial purposes.

6. Response time

TECHNIMA GROUP undertakes to reply to your request for access, rectification or opposition or for any other additional request for information, within a reasonable period of time which may not exceed one month from reception of your request.

 

7. Authorised service providers and transfer to another country outside the European Union

TECHNIMA GROUP informs you that it uses authorised service providers to facilitate the collection and processing of the data you provide. Certain service providers may be located outside the European Union and the data collected is communicated via the various forms present on the Website (with the exception of the form that enables you to exercise your rights concerning information technology and freedoms which is proposed and operated by TECHNIMA GROUP).

TECHNIMA GROUP has, prior to accepting the services of any such provider, ensured that adequate guarantees are in place together with strict conditions concerning confidentiality and the use and protection of data. Most notably, great care is taken concerning the existence of legally enforceable protection covering the transfer of any data to another country. In this respect, one of our service providers is subject to Binding Corporate Rules approved by the CNIL in 2016, whilst the others respect not only the Standard Contractual Clauses but also the Privacy Shield.

 

8. Making a complaint to a competent authority

If you consider that TECHNIMA GROUP has not respected its obligations concerning your Personal Data, you may send a complaint or other request to the appropriate competent authority.
