TRACING SPORT is a lawn paint for marking work on green areas.

TRACING SPORT is an acrylic-based spray paint that has been specially developed for marking lines on lawns. This line marker for various sports meets the highest quality standards. The lawn paint is very durable on grass, but does not damage the grass when applied. It is made from mineral and organic pigments, without the use of lead or cadmium. The applied markings are weatherproof and will not wash off.

Areas of application for TRACING SPORT

TRACING SPORT is the ideal turf paint for marking soccer fields, rugby fields, tennis courts, and hockey fields on grass surfaces. TRACING SPORT is also ideal for turf markings in other sports, such as athletics, horse riding, golf courses, and outdoor sports such as cross-country running and field games.

TRACING SPORT's special formula is optimized for applying long-lasting markings to grass surfaces. It also ensures that the grass surfaces are treated with care. TRACING SPORT turf paint is available in white, black, yellow, green, blue, and red.

Using TRACING SPORT safely and economically

The following instructions must be observed to ensure clean and low-maintenance use of TRACING SPORT marking spray. Proper use of the lawn paint increases the service life of the spray cans.

  • Before use, shake the can thoroughly with the spray head pointing downwards.
  • The audible sound of the mixing balls indicates that the lawn paint is well mixed.
  • The paint can now be applied by hand or used in a marking cart.
  • Only use TRACING SPORT with the spray head facing downwards.
  • The width of the lines is determined by the distance to the lawn area to be marked.
  • After using the lawn paint, the nozzle must be cleaned. With the spray head pointing upwards, spray until empty gas escapes. This cleaning process is also known as “purging.”
  • Purging allows opened spray cans to be used again at a later date. It therefore contributes to the economical use of lawn paint.

Application instructions for TRACING SPORT lawn paint

For excellent visibility, two coats are required. To achieve good quality lines when using TRACING SPORT lawn paint, the first coat must be applied quickly as a primer. A second and possibly a third spray application should be carried out more slowly. This will achieve the desired coverage. The durability of markings made with TRACING SPORT is not as good on wet or damp turf. Application on dry ground is therefore preferable. However, rain falling later will have little effect on the lines.

Accessories for working with TRACING SPORT

With TRACING SPORT turf paint, lines can be sprayed on by hand without any accessories. However, in most cases it makes sense to use a marking trolley. The SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY is the ideal solution for this. The large wheels enable precise line marking even on uneven surfaces. Even on difficult terrain, the ergonomic design and raised chassis of the trolley allow optimum control for marking work on grass, artificial turf, gravel paths, and even difficult surfaces such as clay. The SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY is only compatible with SOPPEC TRACING spray paints. In addition to sports fields, the SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY is also the right marking trolley for parks or construction sites for durable, precise markings.

Advantages of the SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY

  • Suitable for flat surfaces and uneven ground.
  • Precise line marking on natural and artificial turf, but also suitable for asphalt, gravel, clay soils, and other surfaces.
  • The chassis is raised for excellent stability, even on difficult surfaces.
  • An integrated windshield enables clean and straight lines even in windy conditions.
  • The line width can be adjusted from 50 to 120 mm using an integrated scale.
  • The ergonomic handle on the central drawbar can be adjusted to two positions and offers an optimal view of the area to be marked.
  • An additional compartment on the trolley can be used to carry a 750 ml replacement can of tracing paint. With a line width of 75 millimeters, two cans will cover a range of up to 180 meters.
  • The SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY enables a long range and thus contributes to cost efficiency. No paint is wasted – a range of up to 90 meters per can is not uncommon.
  • The large, ball-bearing wheels with a diameter of 200 millimeters ensure smooth running, allowing precise marking on difficult surfaces.
  • The SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY is a robust device that combines a sturdy polyethylene housing with epoxy-coated steel.

Properties of TRACING SPORT

  • Special marking spray for lawns
  • TRACING SPORT can also be used on damp surfaces, but will not last as long as on dry surfaces.

How long does lawn paint last?

TRACING SPORT lawn paint is a special marking spray for lawns with a lawn-friendly formula. The durability of the lines depends on various factors during application, such as the moisture content of the substrate and the material of the substrate to be marked. Weather conditions and mechanical stress from various sports are factors that influence the durability of the finished lines.

TRACING SPORT is made from mineral and organic pigments and acrylic binder. The pigments are lead and cadmium free. A complex mixture that is free of chlorinated solvents and aromatic components is used as a solvent. This means that neither toluene nor xylene is used. The propellant mixture of isobutane and propane typically used by Technima is environmentally friendly. Overall, it can be said that the formula is as environmentally friendly as is possible for an aerosol spray.

The drying time for TRACING SPORT turf paint is specified as 15 to 20 minutes. It depends on humidity and outside temperature, the condition of the surface, as well as wind and the intensity of sunlight during the drying process.

TRACING SPORT turf paint can be sprayed on by hand without any accessories. However, it is advisable to use a marking trolley to apply TRACING SPORT turf paint. The Technima range includes the SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY for this purpose.

The best way to draw the lines is to quickly apply a first coat of paint as a primer. For the covering coat of paint, the marking trolley should then be moved slowly to apply one or two more coats of paint. This procedure ensures the best quality line markings.

For quick marking, i.e., as a primer, one TRACING SPORT spray can is sufficient for a line length of approx. 110 meters for lines four to ten centimeters wide. For the subsequent top coat with the slow-moving SOPPEC DRIVER SPORT TROLLEY, the achievable line length is specified as 75 meters. The achievable line length therefore varies depending on the degree of coverage to be achieved and the speed at which the paint is applied. Despite the built-in wind protection, very strong winds can affect the achievable line length.
