Fluo TP Neon Spray Paint

FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint Technima

FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint is an acrylic-based construction site marking paint. It is produced without the use of heavy metals, using mineral and organic pigments. Thanks to the formula developed in 2016 with a high proportion of fluorescent pigments, FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint has outstanding visibility even in poor lighting conditions. The absence of heavy metals in the color pigments, including the fluorescent pigments, acrylic as a binder, the propane/isobutane propellant mixture, and a complex mixture of solvents without aromatic components or chlorinated solvents result in a construction site marking paint that has as little impact on the environment as possible.

FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint is a fluorescent construction site marking paint

Thanks to its fluorescent pigments made from mineral and organic components without heavy metals, markings made with FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint are visible in poor lighting conditions and from a greater distance. This is a major advantage for night construction sites or construction work in the cold season and in dim light. FLUO TP Neon Spray Paint is available in red, orange, yellow, pink, green, blue, and violet.

Areas of application for FLUO TP neon spray paint

FLUO TP neon spray paint has a shelf life of approx. 12 months and is highly visible. Examples of the use of construction site marking paint include road construction, earthworks, pipeline construction, i.e., civil engineering. Neon spray paint is also used in building construction, as well as in surveying work for marking, staking out, or marking boundaries, measuring points, or survey areas. In long-term construction projects of all kinds, FLUO TP neon spray paint is used to identify electrical installations and mark underground supply lines or disposal lines.

FLUO TP neon spray paint is suitable for applying markings even on difficult surfaces such as plastic, gravel paths, metal, wood, minerals, grass, bitumen, concrete, or lawns.

Properties of FLUO TP neon spray paint

  • Fluorescent marking spray.
  • FLUO TP neon spray paint offers impressive coverage. One can of FLUO TP neon spray paint is sufficient for an 80-meter line with a line width of 2 cm.
  • The marking remains visible for up to approximately twelve months. The durability depends on the condition of the marked surfaces, the external conditions at the time of application, and the intensity of UV radiation.
  • FLUO TP Neon spray paint can be used on almost all surfaces relevant to construction sites, such as gravel, sand, asphalt, minerals, bitumen, wood, or concrete, but also on grass and plastic.
  • FLUO TP Neon spray paint is also suitable for damp surfaces and offers good adhesion and coverage.
  • The short drying time is only about 10 minutes.
  • FLUO TP neon spray paint can also be used reliably in cold outdoor temperatures. The processing temperatures range from minus 20° Celsius to plus 50° Celsius.
  • FLUO TP neon spray paint is equipped with the patented “TP” protective cap from Soppec. The protective cap can easily withstand a fall from a height of 1.5 m onto a hard surface.

Safe and effective use of neon spray paint

Proper application and observance of the following instructions will ensure efficient use of FLUO TP neon spray paint. Proper use will also increase the service life of the spray cans.

  • Before use, shake the construction site marking paint thoroughly with the spray head pointing downwards.
  • An audible rattling of the mixing balls indicates that the marking paint has been thoroughly mixed. The neon spray paint can now be applied.
  • The patented “TP” protective cap from Soppec is opened by turning it counterclockwise.
  • FLUO TP neon spray paint is used with the spray head pointing downwards.
  • The spraying distance to the surface to be marked is approx. 10–15 cm.
  • The nozzle must be cleaned after each use. This process is called “purging” and is carried out with the spray head pointing upwards.
  • The nozzle is cleaned by spraying until empty gas escapes.
  • After purging, the spray can is securely closed again by turning the safety cap clockwise.

Accessories for working with FLUO TP neon spray paint

Since FLUO TP neon spray paint is not always used on the ground, but mostly is, it makes sense to use aids, even though the construction site marking paint can also be easily sprayed on by hand without any additional accessories. Working with neon spray paint is more accurate and easier when the spray can is inserted into a marking gun. This marking handle resembles a silicone press and allows the marking spray to be used in a less bent and therefore healthier posture. If marking directly on the ground, the 1-wheel marking stick is a suitable aid. To achieve the desired line width, the can can be attached to this marking stick at the appropriate distance from the ground. Then, while walking upright, the wheel of the marking stick is pushed across the ground so that the neon spray paint draws the desired line. A trigger lever on the handle of the marking stick activates the trigger button on the spray can. This allows the neon spray paint to be controlled from a distance from the spray valve. FLUO TP neon spray paint is applied precisely to the intended areas.

The marking accessory makes it possible to avoid postures that, in extreme cases, can cause musculoskeletal disorders.

Safety instructions for FLUO TP neon spray paint

  • Hazard warning H222: FLUO TP Neon construction site marking paint is a highly flammable aerosol.
  • Hazard warning H229: The pressurized spray can may burst if heated.
  • Safety data sheets are available free of charge on the Internet at www.quick-fds.com.

When applying FLUO TP neon spray paint, it is particularly important to consider the temperature of the surface. A temperature of 40° Celsius should not be exceeded. Freshly laid asphalt can be hotter, as can asphalt that has been exposed to strong sunlight for a long time. If the surface is too hot, the solvent evaporates too quickly and this can lead to blistering, color changes, or uneven paint application. The optimal temperature for applying FLUO TP neon spray paint is between 10° and 30° Celsius.

FLUO TP neon spray paint is available in pink, red, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue. This makes it possible to mark different supply lines with different colors. Especially for large construction sites, it may be important to be able to use different colors to convey different information.

FLUO TP neon spray paint is a highly flammable aerosol. Therefore, when using it, make sure that there are no sources of ignition nearby that could cause the aerosol-air mixture to explode. Excessive heat must also be avoided when storing neon spray paint, as this could cause the containers to burst. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, as well as inhaling the vapors produced when applying FLUO TP neon spray paint.

FLUO TP neon spray paint is a long-lasting but temporary construction site marking paint. After approx. 12 months, it is broken down by environmental influences such as rain, UV radiation, or abrasion. If it is to be actively removed, suitable tools must be used. Solvent-based marking removers or paint removers should be used for this purpose. It is also possible to use Soppec's Anti-Graffiti graffiti remover, which is based on benzyl alcohol. The remover is sprayed onto the paint to be removed, where it should be left to work for approximately five minutes. The paint can then be removed by rinsing with water and soap. On porous surfaces such as asphalt or concrete, the paint may have penetrated the pores, making it difficult to remove. In this case, it is recommended to use a high-pressure cleaner after applying and allowing the remover to take effect. As a last resort, if these methods are unsuccessful, mechanical removal by brushing or sanding is recommended. Under no circumstances should hot air devices or even open flames be used to remove neon spray paint, as there is a risk of ignition.

For applying FLUO TP Neon neon spray paint, we offer a marking gun and a marking rod from the Technima range. A spray can can be inserted into both devices. With the marking gun, the user can trigger the spray can from the end of the can, thus maintaining a greater distance from the escaping paint. With the marking rod, the distance is even greater and the rod can be pushed across the ground with a wheel attached to the end when marking the ground. This means that the paint is not only applied from a greater distance, but also without having to bend down, which is very easy on the back. In addition, there are impact cords, alignment cords, and a chalk holder, which are helpful when applying the preliminary markings for the final marking paint.
